1 (Build 1)
SkyCast is a component that drops a live, auto‑updating weather card onto any page in Rapidweaver Elements. Just type a location name and SkyCast finds the coordinates for you automatically, pulling current conditions and a multi‑day forecast straight from Open‑Meteo – no API key to request, no account to set up, no coordinates to look up by hand.
It's built for any site where visitors want to know the weather before they arrive – a hotel, a tourist attraction, a ski resort, a campsite, a holiday rental. Inside a CMS Item or Collection, Location Name and coordinates accept Twig references from your front matter, so a single component instance can show a different city on every entry – a location directory, a set of listings, a multi‑branch business.
Every detail is built to fit your design rather than fight it. Colors, fonts and sizes come straight from your theme and follow light and dark mode, so a change in Theme Studio carries through to every card. Choose Horizontal or Vertical layout, Full or Compact size, and decide exactly which details show – description, wind, humidity, rain chance. Weekdays, weather descriptions and labels switch language automatically to match your site, seven languages built in.
For an exact spot instead of a name lookup, enter Latitude and Longitude directly – SkyCast uses them straight away. And if a location can't be found or the weather service is briefly unavailable, SkyCast shows a clean fallback card instead of an empty gap in your layout. Built natively for Rapidweaver Elements, everything is configured visually in the inspector – no HTML, JavaScript or CSS to write.
SkyCast: Real weather, zero setup
The SkyCast component for Rapidweaver Elements
Automatic outline – built from the headings in your text and updated whenever the content changes
Live weather from Open‑Meteo – current conditions plus a 3 to 5 day forecast, refreshed automatically
Type a location name and SkyCast finds the coordinates for you – no API key, no manual lookup
Ambiguous name? Add a country or region – "Berlin, Ohio" instead of just "Berlin" – and SkyCast finds exactly that one
Optional Latitude/Longitude override for an exact address or a place the geocoding database doesn't know
Inside the Elements CMS, Location Name and coordinates accept Twig references – one component, a different city on every page
Horizontal or Vertical layout, Full or Compact size
Seven languages built in – weekdays, weather descriptions and labels follow your site's language automatically: English (also the fallback for any other language), German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch

Theme-aware colors, picked straight from your theme palette
